BLUFF & BARGAIN — 2ND EDITION:

Suits × Shark Tank

The Ultimate Pitch & Negotiation Showdown

Think you can pitch a business, handle tough questions, spot a loophole, and negotiate your way to the best deal?

Bluff & Bargain brings together the pressure of Shark Tank with the strategy of business negotiation. Teams will receive confidential business scenarios, build their pitch, defend their position, and make strategic decisions under pressure.

Event Structure:

Round 1 — The Pitch:

Pitch. Defend. Impress.

  • The event features 6 business domains.
  • Each team receives a confidential company contract at least 24 hours before the event.
  • Teams study the contract and prepare their pitch accordingly.
  • The contract may include company background, market information, strengths, weaknesses, deal details, leverage points, confidential information, conditions, and Red Lines.
  • 5-minute pitch + 2-minute Q&A with the judge.
  • The top 5 teams advance to the final round.

Round 2 — The Investor Deal:

Find the Flaw. Use It. Close the Deal.

  • All 5 finalists receive the same investor contract.
  • Teams must carefully study the contract and identify hidden clauses, loopholes, unfavourable terms, contradictions, risks, and opportunities.
  • Each team then pitches its firm to the investor and uses the flaws they discovered as leverage during the negotiation.
  • The investor may question the team's interpretation, challenge their claims, introduce pressure, and make counter-offers.
  • Teams must decide whether to push for better terms, compromise, or walk away.

Final Outcome:

The winner and runner-up will be determined based on their overall performance, strategic thinking, pitch, contract understanding, and negotiation during the final round.

What Makes It Different?:

This isn't just about giving a good pitch.

Round 1: Can you convince the judge?

Round 2: Can you read between the lines, find the flaw, and turn it into an advantage?
