Opportunity brief
Overview
Organised by FINAX and NEXT, XLRI Delhi-NCR, Tollgate: The Monetisation Mandate is a finance case competition that challenges participants to develop a sustainable monetisation and growth strategy for PhonePe.
Combining financial analysis, valuation, and strategic decision-making, the competition invites participants to explore how one of India's largest digital payments platforms can convert its scale into sustainable profitability while maintaining merchant trust and preparing for a potential public listing. Participants will analyse revenue opportunities, evaluate regulatory constraints, explore business expansion beyond payments, and develop a financially viable roadmap for long-term growth.
