Code Cortex 3.0 is a 30-hour AI/ML hackathon designed for students who want to turn ideas into working solutions. Whether you're an experienced ML practitioner or taking your first steps into AI, this is your chance to build something real, solve meaningful problems, and push your limits.
Choose from curated tracks in Finance, Medicine, Drone Tech & Aviation, and Security, each built around real-world problem spaces and datasets. Prefer to explore your own idea? The Open Innovation track gives you the freedom to bring your own problem, dataset, and solution.
Over 30 intense hours, teams will go through focused development sessions, reviews, and mentorship before presenting their final solutions to the judging panel.

Tracks
- Finance — Solve challenges involving financial data, fraud, transactions, and related problems.
- Medicine — Work with real-world healthcare and medical datasets to develop meaningful ML solutions.
- Drone Tech & Aviation — Explore AI/ML applications in flight, aviation, drones, and related domains.
- Security — Build intelligent solutions for cybersecurity, malware detection, and other security challenges.
- Open Innovation — Bring your own dataset, identify your own problem, and build your own solution.
Who Can Participate?
The hackathon is open to college students and freshers. Prior AI/ML experience is not mandatory — curiosity, problem-solving, and the willingness to learn are what matter.
- Team size: 2–4 members
- Solo participation is not permitted
- Participants must register their team and track at the beginning of the hackathon
Important Rules
- All code must be written during the hackathon.
- Pre-built projects and reused past projects are not allowed.
- The solution must use a trained or fine-tuned ML/DL model as a core component; solutions relying only on API calls are not permitted.
- Open Innovation datasets must be publicly available and properly cited.
- Final submissions must include working code, a brief README, and a demo/presentation.
- Plagiarism or reuse of previous projects will lead to disqualification.
- All tracks will be evaluated using the same judging criteria.
