Overview
RoBoat Race is a robotics competition where participants bring and compete with their designed and built wireless-controlled boats capable of navigating a defined water arena. Teams must demonstrate precise control, maneuverability, stability, and effective navigation while completing a sequence of checkpoints and obstacles within the course.
The event combines mechanical design, propulsion, embedded systems, wireless communication, and real-time control. Participants are required to make strategic decisions during the run, balancing score accumulation with efficient and safe navigation. The competition rewards successful completion of course challenges, while boundary contacts result in time penalties.
Eligibility:
Open to all students. Teams of 2-3.
Performance Guidelines:
- Rounds are timed
- No calculators unless allowed
- Collusion between teams is prohibited.

- Correctness (40%)
- Quality of risk decisions (30%)
- Speed (20%)
- Teamwork (10%)
