Rules & Regulations:
Who is eligible?
Students with basic electronics knowledge and familiarity with circuit simulation software. Soldering experience is recommended but not mandatory. Teams of 3 to 5 members.
Performance Guidelines:
- Round 1 – Electronics Quiz (20 min): Objective questions on electronics fundamentals.
- Round 2 – Tinkercad Simulation (50 min): Design and simulate a circuit for the problem statement, and spot any deliberate discrepancy in it.
- Round 3 – Physical Build (70 min): Build the circuit physically. Teams may refer to their Round 2 design.
- All components, tools and software are provided. Every member should be able to explain the design.
- Follow all soldering and safety instructions. Unsafe conduct, misuse of equipment or unfair means may lead to disqualification.
Judging Criteria:
- Round 1: Score is the number of correct answers.
- Round 2: Circuit correctness (30%), optimality (20%), problem understanding (20%), explanation (15%), discrepancy recognition (15%).
- Round 3: Functionality (40%), problem compliance (20%), build quality (15%), reliability (10%), troubleshooting (10%), time management (5%).
Results:
A panel of judges will declare the results soon after the competition ends.
