Opportunity brief

The Opportunity:

Help turn CXO vision into measurable execution while learning how every part of a technology business operates and how AI can transform it.

About the Role:

We are looking for an exceptionally smart, ambitious, and execution-focused MBA intern to work closely with our CXO team. This is a hands-on role, not an observational internship. You will take broad priorities, use AI and research to determine what good looks like, convert them into action plans, and work with teams to deliver the outcome.

You will gain exposure to project delivery, marketing, sales, proposals, contracting, HR, hiring, and business operations. When an existing approach is not strong enough, you should be able to create a better first version yourself and help lift the standard across the organisation.

Why This Is an Exceptional Learning Opportunity:

Most internships place candidates inside one department. This role cuts across the entire business. You will see how leaders balance growth, people, delivery, quality, and profitability, and how decisions in one function affect every other function. You will not only learn the theory of business operations; you will help run and improve them.

You will also learn how to use AI as a practical operating advantage. This includes researching best practices, analysing performance, creating high-quality first drafts, building dashboards and processes, automating repetitive work, and helping teams perform at a higher standard. The result is an unusually broad foundation for someone who wants to become a business leader, entrepreneur, consultant, Chief of Staff, or operations professional.

Key Responsibilities:

CXO Priorities and Execution:

  • Translate ideas into clear outcomes, owners, timelines, KPIs, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate across teams, follow through persistently, and resolve execution gaps.
  • Provide concise updates on progress, risks, decisions, and next actions.
  • Take direct ownership where an initiative has no obvious owner or needs a stronger first version.

AI-Enabled Improvement:

  • Use AI for research, benchmarking, planning, analysis, reporting, content, and process improvement.
  • Identify what excellent work looks like, create strong examples, and help teams adopt better methods.
  • Find opportunities to automate repetitive work while applying judgment and verifying outputs.

Projects and Delivery:

  • Track project timelines, effort, cost, quality, risks, and client satisfaction.
  • Build useful reporting that highlights effectiveness, early warnings, and corrective actions.
  • Work with delivery leaders to improve planning, accountability, and project outcomes.

HR and Hiring:

  • Supervise outcomes from the existing HR team through clear hiring, onboarding, and engagement KPIs.
  • Improve job descriptions, hiring workflows, candidate quality, and turnaround times where needed.
  • Help leadership assess whether people processes are producing the required business outcomes.

Marketing, Sales and Commercial Support:

  • Coordinate engineers, leaders, and assigned resources to publish website updates, case studies, blogs, and campaigns consistently.
  • Support proposals, presentations, opportunity tracking, client research, and contracting workflows.
  • Track meaningful marketing and sales KPIs and improve quality and speed of execution.
  • Learn how positioning, content, proposals, pricing, and commercial terms work together to win business.

Operational Excellence:

  • Create simple SOPs, trackers, dashboards, and management reports that improve visibility and accountability.
  • Identify bottlenecks, unclear ownership, and repetitive work, then help implement practical improvements.
  • Ensure meetings and initiatives result in clear decisions, owners, and completed actions.

What Success Looks Like:

  • CXO priorities move from ideas to completed outcomes with clear accountability.
  • Leadership has reliable visibility of business and project performance.
  • HR, hiring, marketing, and sales operate against measurable KPIs.
  • AI improves the quality, speed, and efficiency of work across the business.
  • The intern raises standards and takes ownership rather than only coordinating activity.

Candidate Profile:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed an MBA from a leading business school.
  • Highly intelligent, curious, resourceful, and quick to learn.
  • Strong ownership, structured thinking, communication, and follow-through.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, technology, data, and multiple priorities.
  • Already uses AI effectively, or has the aptitude and drive to become highly capable quickly.
  • Can coordinate others but is equally willing to do the work personally when required.

Learning and Career Potential:

You will work closely with experienced CXOs and develop practical capability across strategy, execution, project delivery, people operations, marketing, sales, and commercial decision-making. You will learn how to set useful KPIs, evaluate team effectiveness, improve processes, communicate with leaders, and use AI to solve real business problems.

Few early-career roles provide this level of breadth, ownership, and access. The experience can provide a strong foundation for business operations, consulting, entrepreneurship, program management, the CEO's office, AI transformation, or general management. High performers may be considered for a Pre-Placement Offer.
