Overview:
Every system starts as scattered pieces: a leaked log, a half-broken key, a trail nobody followed. Attackers see the pieces and find the gap. Defenders put them together and build something that holds.
Fragments to Fortress is the Capture The Flag competition of Cyberon 2026, brought to you by Team Matrix, the cybersecurity committee of Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology, Pune. It is a Jeopardy-style contest where teams solve challenges across web exploitation, cryptography, forensics, steganography, OSINT and reverse engineering. Each solved challenge gives you a flag, and each flag brings you closer to rebuilding the fortress.
Every category has challenges from beginner to expert level, so first-timers can score points and experienced players still get pushed.
Guidelines:
- Open to all students and professionals.
- Registration Fees: 100 Rs per person.
- Inter-college team members are allowed.
- Duration of the rounds: 2hrs
Rules:
- Do not share hints, strategy or solutions with other teams while the contest is running.
- Flag submissions are unlimited unless a challenge says otherwise, but brute-forcing the platform or servers leads to an IP ban and disqualification.
- Automated tools such as scanners and fuzzers are not allowed unless a challenge specifically allows them.
- Attacking the CTF platform, other teams or the event infrastructure is strictly prohibited.
- Simultaneous logins on the same account are not allowed.
- Organisers can withhold prizes in case of malpractice, and their decision is final.
