Standard Chartered is hiring for the role of Senior Manager - Engineering!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Understand and apply engineering standards, architecture principles, and technology standards. - Adopt and implement bank-wide strategic technology initiatives, including cloud technologies and technology policies. - Design user-friendly dashboards that deliver accurate, high-performing outputs aligned with functional and non-functional business requirements. - Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, including automation of manual processes and optimization of data delivery. - Redesign and enhance infrastructure to improve scalability, efficiency, and performance. - Continuously develop technical skills to stay current with system updates, emerging technologies, and bank-wide initiatives. - Promote a culture aligned with organizational values and demonstrate strong technical and professional leadership. - Proactively identify, assess, and manage risks and develop appropriate mitigation plans. - Adhere to organizational policies, governance standards, and mandatory training requirements. - Maintain awareness of regulatory, compliance, and governance requirements. - Demonstrate exemplary ethical conduct and uphold the organization's values and Code of Conduct. - Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and internal policies. - Identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct, and compliance issues collaboratively and effectively. - Collaborate with key stakeholders and project teams, including the NRRP Project.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Bootstrap. - Strong knowledge of front-end development using React.js. - Preferred proficiency in backend development using Node.js. - Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases. - Understanding of UI/UX principles and practices. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. - Experience with AI-assisted software engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
