Standard Chartered Bank is hiring for the role of Analyst Development!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

  • Provide technical guidance to team members on programming frameworks and technology standards.
  • Understand and translate business requirements provided by Product Owners into technical solutions.
  • Follow eSDLC, Scrum, Agile, and applicable software development processes.
  • Lead by example and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture.
  • Support capacity forecasting for technology initiatives.
  • Identify potential delivery risks and recommend mitigation strategies and technical solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Collaborate with Delivery Leads, Scrum Leads, Scrum Teams, Product Owners, and Production Engineering teams.
  • Embed organizational values and contribute to broader technology, ESG, and business initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in Java, particularly Java 17 or above.
  • Strong knowledge of Java Collections, Streams, object-oriented programming, and coding standards.
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Dependency Injection, and related Java frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, design principles, and design patterns.
  • Experience developing microservices-based applications.
  • Strong knowledge of Hibernate, JPA, and other ORM frameworks.
  • Experience building APIs and web services using REST and SOAP.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
  • Experience with containerization technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and AWS EKS.
  • Understanding of synchronous and asynchronous Enterprise Application Integration patterns.
  • Knowledge of multithreading and multiprocessing concepts and implementations.
  • Experience with unit testing and code coverage using JUnit and Mockito.
  • Familiarity with code quality and static analysis tools such as SonarQube.
  • Knowledge of BPMN tools such as Camunda.
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices and tools including Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Jira.
  • Knowledge of source control, versioning, branching, and release management practices.
  • Familiarity with JSON processing libraries such as Jackson and Gson.
  • Working knowledge of Unix/Linux commands.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps and CI/CD practices.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with Waterfall models.
  • Strong application delivery experience, including production support and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance or high-level design input.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good presentation, documentation, and technical communication skills.
  • Ability to clearly articulate technical ideas, designs, and recommendations.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, frameworks, and development practices.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience conducting code reviews and mentoring team members.
