Plan B is an innovation-driven competition hosted by Star(T)ech that challenges participants to identify a real-world problem and develop an original, practical solution.
- Teams of 3–4 members will go through three competitive rounds — Ideation, where they present their problem statement and proposed solution; Product Showcase, where they demonstrate a prototype or suitable representation of their idea; and Pitching, where they present their business model, target market, and future potential to a panel of judges.
- The event tests creativity, technical thinking, business viability, and presentation skills, encouraging participants to think beyond conventional approaches and build something truly original.
The event runs from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with dedicated time for each round followed by a jury discussion. A physical prototype is appreciated, but digital models, simulations, or videos are equally acceptable where a physical prototype isn't feasible.
Prize pool :
- ₹5,000 for 1st place,
- ₹3,000 for 2nd
- ₹2,000 for 3rd, Plan B offers a platform for innovators and future entrepreneurs to showcase their ideas, compete with the best, and gain valuable feedback from experts.
Rules and Regulations:
- Teams must successfully participate in all three rounds — Ideation, Product Showcase, and Pitching.
- A physical prototype is appreciated, but photographs, videos, digital models, simulations, or other suitable representations may be used where a physical prototype is not feasible.
- Teams must strictly adhere to the time limits announced for each round. Exceeding the allotted time may affect evaluation.
- Teams should clearly communicate their problem statement, proposed solution, product value, business model, target market, and future potential.
- All prototypes and demonstrations must be safe. Hazardous or unsafe materials are strictly prohibited.
- Every team member should be familiar with the project, as judges may question any member during evaluation.
- Participants must maintain professional conduct and follow the instructions of the organizing committee throughout the event.
- Any form of plagiarism, cheating, misconduct, or violation of event rules may result in disqualification.
- The decision of the judging panel will be final and binding.
