Overview
TECH QUIZ is a competitive team-based quiz designed to test participants' technical knowledge, observation, problem-solving ability, speed, and presence of mind.
The quiz covers Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Programming, DBMS, Networking, Cybersecurity, and General Technology.
Eligibility
- Open to B.Tech students from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year, irrespective of branch.
- Each team must have 2–3 participants.
- A participant can be part of only one team.
- Participants must report before the designated reporting time.
Quiz Structure
Round 1 – Tech Trivia
- 20 MCQs
- Duration: 15 minutes
- +1 for every correct answer
- No negative marking
Round 2 – Tech Hunt
- 15 questions
- Duration: 15–20 minutes
- Covers technology identification, code snippets, outputs, technical images, SQL, databases, puzzles, and emerging technologies.
- +2 for correct answers
- −1 for incorrect answers
Round 3 – Tech Showdown
- 10 challenging, generally open-ended questions
- Buzzer-based round
- Tests speed, accuracy, technical knowledge, presence of mind, and team coordination.
- +5 for correct answers
- −2 for incorrect answers
Important Rules
- Mobile phones, internet access, AI tools, and external assistance are strictly prohibited.
- Teams must answer independently and cannot communicate with other teams.
- Any form of cheating, malpractice, or misconduct may result in immediate disqualification.
- Participants must follow the instructions of the organizers and quizmasters.
- The Quizmaster's decision will be final and binding.
Tie-Breaker
In case of a tie, a sudden-death buzzer round will be conducted until the tie is broken.
Participant Checklist
Participants should:
- Register as a team of 2–3
- Carry a valid student ID
- Report on time
- Keep electronic devices away
- Follow all round timings and instructions
- Maintain discipline and sportsmanship
