Skillinf Portfolio Design Hackathon 2026

About the Hackathon

Are you ready to turn your creativity into an impressive digital experience? Skillinf presents the Portfolio Design Hackathon 2026, an online challenge where participants can design, develop, and deploy their own creative portfolios.

Build a portfolio that showcases your skills, projects, achievements, experience, and personal brand. You are free to use AI tools, modern web technologies, creative animations, interactive elements, and innovative design techniques to make your portfolio stand out.

Your portfolio can be created from scratch or with the assistance of AI tools. Focus on creativity, visual appeal, responsiveness, functionality, and the overall user experience.

Challenge Objective:

Create an original, professional, and visually impressive portfolio website that represents your skills and personality. Deploy your completed portfolio using platforms such as Vercel, Render, Netlify, GitHub Pages, or any other publicly accessible hosting platform.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Open to individual participants only.
  • Students, freshers, aspiring developers, designers, and technology enthusiasts are welcome to participate.
  • Participants from any academic background or technical skill level can join.
  • AI tools and AI-assisted website builders are permitted.
  • Each participant must submit their own portfolio and resume.
  • Team participation is not allowed.

Competition Format:

This hackathon consists of one online submission round.

Round 1: Portfolio Submission

Participants must create and deploy a portfolio website and submit the following:

  • Live Portfolio URL: A publicly accessible link to the deployed portfolio website.
  • Resume: Upload your latest resume in PDF format.

Your portfolio must open correctly without requiring login credentials or special access permissions.

Portfolio Requirements:

Your portfolio should aim to include the following sections:

  • Personal introduction or About Me section.
  • Skills and technical expertise.
  • Projects with descriptions and relevant links.
  • Education, achievements, certifications, or experience, where applicable.
  • Contact information or professional links.
  • Responsive design for desktop and mobile devices.

Participants are encouraged to experiment with modern layouts, creative typography, smooth animations, interactive components, 3D effects, dark or light themes, and other design elements.

The listed sections are recommendations to help participants build a strong portfolio. Creativity and originality are encouraged.

AI Tools and Technology:

Participants are free to use AI tools, website builders, coding assistants, UI libraries, frameworks, and other development resources.

Suggested technologies and platforms include HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, AI-assisted development tools, Vercel, Render, Netlify, and GitHub Pages.

These are suggestions, not mandatory requirements. Participants may use any suitable technology or platform.

Rules and Guidelines:

  • Participation is strictly individual.
  • Only one portfolio submission per participant is permitted.
  • Participants must provide a valid live deployment link and upload their resume.
  • The portfolio must be accessible to the judges throughout the evaluation period.
  • AI-generated content and AI-assisted development are allowed, but participants should review and customize their work.
  • Participants must have permission to use all images, assets, templates, code, and other resources included in their portfolio.
  • Plagiarism, impersonation, misleading claims, and unauthorized copying of another participant's work are prohibited.
  • Participants must not include sensitive personal information in their portfolio or resume.
  • Incomplete submissions, inaccessible links, or missing resumes may be disqualified.
  • The judges' decisions will be final, subject to the event's published rules.

Evaluation Criteria:

Portfolios will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Creativity and originality.
  • UI/UX design and visual appeal.
  • Responsiveness and mobile compatibility.
  • Functionality and navigation.
  • Project presentation and content quality.
  • Effective use of animations, interactions, and design effects.
  • Overall professional presentation and attention to detail.

AI usage alone will not determine the winner. The quality, originality, execution, and overall experience of the final portfolio will matter.

Submission Process:

  • Register for the hackathon on Unstop.
  • Create your portfolio using your preferred tools and technologies.
  • Deploy your portfolio to a publicly accessible hosting platform.
  • Prepare your latest resume in PDF format.
  • Submit the live portfolio URL and resume through the designated Unstop submission section before the deadline.
  • Ensure that your portfolio link works correctly before submitting.

Show the world what you can build. Think creatively, experiment with modern design, and create a portfolio that leaves a lasting impression!
