Opportunity brief
As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for planning and implementing tests that prove the functional and
non-functional requirements. You will need to contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle to identify and mitigate system malfunctions to meet quality standards.
Responsibilities :
- Test and prove that the software meets major architectural requirements and provide meaningful feedback
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
- Identify and create document thoroughly and track bugs
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing features to meet client needs
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
- Contribute debugging process results
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
- Helping BA's with right set of data for analysis
Qualifications :-
- Should be a Bachelors in Technology with 2+ years of professional experience
- Understanding of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Knowledge of DBMS and SQL Queries is a must
- Able to write clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Understanding of both white box and black box testing
- Understanding in an Agile/Scrum development process
Good to Have
- Knowledge of automated testing tools
- Basic grasp of performance and/or security testing is a plus
- Fundamental working knowledge of Javascript and/or Python is a major plus
