Eligibility
- Open to undergraduate students.
- Engineering students from all specialisations are eligible.
- Team Size: 3–4 members.
- All team members must belong to the same college/university.
- Inter-specialisation teams are allowed within the same college/university.
- Students from different colleges/universities can participate in the event by forming teams exclusively with students from their own institution.
Competition Format
MEGATHON'26 – Fusion For Future consists of two rounds.
Round 1 – Problem Statement & PPT Evaluation
Teams must select a problem statement of their choice and propose an innovative technology-driven solution. Only software projects are permitted.
Teams are required to submit a PowerPoint Presentation (PPT) covering:
- Problem Statement
- Problem Understanding
- Proposed Solution
- Target Users
- Key Features
- Technology / Implementation Approach
- Innovation & USP
- Expected Impact
- Future Scope
The PPT will be evaluated based on innovation, problem understanding, technical feasibility, solution approach, real-world applicability, scalability, and potential impact.
Shortlisted teams will qualify for the Grand Finale.
Round 2 – Grand Finale | 24-Hour Hackathon
Shortlisted teams will participate in the 24-hour offline Grand Finale Hackathon conducted at the college.
- Shortlisted teams must pay a ₹500 participation fee for the Grand Finale.
- The problem statement will be provided by the organising organisation.
- Teams will have 24 hours to design, develop, test, and implement their solution.
- Teams must build a functional prototype based on the given problem statement.
- At the end of the hackathon, teams must present and demonstrate their solution before the judging panel.
Problem Statements
Round 1
Teams are free to choose their own problem statement.
The selected problem should address a meaningful real-world challenge and provide scope for an innovative and practical technology-driven solution.
Grand Finale
The problem statement will be provided by the organising organisation at the beginning of the 24-hour hackathon.
Teams must develop their solution based on the given challenge within the allotted time.
Duration
- Round 1: PPT submission and evaluation – as per the announced timeline.
- Round 2: 24-hour offline Grand Finale Hackathon – 10th & 11th September.
Rules
- Each team must consist of 3–4 members.
- All team members must belong to the same college/university.
- Inter-specialisation teams are allowed within the same college/university.
- Students from different colleges can participate, but must form teams only with students from their own college/university.
- Teams must choose their own problem statement for Round 1.
- Round 1 PPT submissions must be made within the specified deadline.
- Only shortlisted teams will qualify for the Grand Finale.
- Shortlisted teams must pay a ₹500 participation fee for the Grand Finale.
- The Grand Finale will be conducted as a 24-hour offline hackathon.
- The Grand Finale problem statement will be provided by the organising organisation.
- Teams must complete their solution within the allotted 24-hour duration.
- All submitted work must be original.
- Plagiarism, copying, or submission of previously developed projects may result in disqualification.
- Teams must be able to explain and demonstrate their project during the final evaluation.
- Participants may use appropriate programming languages, frameworks, APIs, libraries, databases, AI tools, and other development technologies.
- All team members are expected to contribute to the project.
- Participants must follow the instructions issued by the organising committee.
- Any misconduct or violation of the competition rules may result in disqualification.
- The decision of the judging panel will be final and binding.

Grand Finale Participation
Only teams shortlisted from Round 1 will be eligible for the Grand Finale.
Shortlisted teams must complete the required registration/payment process and pay the ₹500 Grand Finale participation fee within the specified deadline.
The Grand Finale will be a 24-hour offline hackathon, where teams will receive the official problem statement and develop a functional solution within the given time.
Prizes
- 1st Prize: ₹1,00,000
- 2nd Prize: ₹50,000
- 3rd Prize: ₹25,000
Special Recognition Awards
In addition to the top three winning teams, 5 additional teams will be selected based on the quality of their idea, product/prototype, implementation, and explanation/presentation.
- Special Recognition: ₹5,000 per team
These awards recognise teams that demonstrate strong innovation, promising solutions, effective product development, and excellent presentation, even if they do not secure the top three positions.
Certificates and special recognition may also be provided to outstanding participants and teams.

MEGATHON'26 – Fusion For Future is a technology-driven hackathon that brings together undergraduate engineering students to identify real-world challenges and develop innovative solutions.
The event provides participants with an opportunity to showcase their technical skills, creativity, problem-solving ability, innovation, teamwork, and product-building capabilities.
Starting with a team-selected problem statement in Round 1 and progressing to a 24-hour Grand Finale, MEGATHON'26 challenges participants to transform ideas into functional and impactful technology-driven solutions.
