Opportunity brief

Event Guidelines

Bargain Battles is an auction and sales-pitch competition at PEC's E-Summit 2026. The competition begins with an online quiz round, followed by an offline auction and pitching round for shortlisted teams.

Teams bid for imaginative fictional products using virtual money and then persuade a judging panel to buy them. From an eraser that removes past mistakes to a watch that pauses time, every product challenges participants to turn imagination into a convincing sales pitch.

Event Details

  • Event dates: 14–15 November 2026.
  • Round 1: Online quiz; the schedule will be communicated to registered teams.
  • Subsequent rounds: Offline at PEC Campus, Chandigarh.
  • Team size: 3–4 members.
  • Intercollege teams are allowed: Members of a team may belong to different colleges.

Competition Format

  • Online Quiz: Registered teams participate in an online quiz. Shortlisted teams advance to the offline rounds.
  • Briefing and Auction: Qualified teams receive details of the fictional products, including their abilities and limitations. Teams must purchase at least one and no more than two products. Teams that purchase no products are eliminated.
  • Pitch Preparation: Teams receive 25 minutes to develop their sales pitches, covering target customers, benefits, applications and proposed selling prices.
  • Pitch and Negotiation: Teams present their purchased products to the judging panel, followed by questions and negotiation. Teams purchasing two products must pitch both products.
