About the Event:
Cliffesto '26 presents Robo Soccer, a 1v1 robotic soccer competition where teams battle it out in an arena using their custom-built robots.
The event combines robotics, engineering, precision, strategy and competitive gameplay as teams compete to score goals and progress through the tournament.
Event Highlights:
- 1v1 robo-soccer competition.
- Each team competes using one robot.
- Matches consist of two 3-minute halves, for a total duration of 6 minutes.
- The tournament begins with a Round-Robin stage followed by Knockouts.
- The top two teams from each group qualify for the Knockout stage.
- Knockout matches determine progression through the tournament.
- Total prize pool: ₹35,000.
Team Specifications:
- Team size: Minimum 3 members and maximum 5 members.
- The event is open to all branches and years.
- All participants must carry valid identification proof, preferably a Student ID card.
- Each team can maintain only one robot throughout a match.
Robot Specifications:
- Maximum robot weight: 5 kg, with a permissible variation of 5%.
- No minimum robot weight is specified.
- Maximum robot dimensions: 30 cm × 30 cm × 30 cm, including the striker/barrier mechanism.
- Both on-board and off-board power supply configurations are permitted as specified in the guidelines.
- Robots must not use harmful mechanisms or grippers intended to damage an opponent's robot.
- Teams must bring their required power supply to the venue.
- Electric power supplies must not exceed a voltage difference of 15V between any two points at any time.
- Non-electric power supplies must be non-polluting and require prior approval from the organisers.
Gameplay:
- The ball is placed at the centre of the field at the beginning of the game.
- Both robots commence simultaneously; no traditional kick-off is required.
- The robot may hold and guide the ball while moving.
- A goal is scored when the robot executes a shot with the ball.
- A tennis ball will be used for gameplay.
- Participants may not physically interfere with robots while a match is in progress.
- Fouls, misconduct and damage to an opponent's robot may result in penalties or disqualification.
- No weapons or harmful mechanisms are allowed.
- A combined technical timeout of 2 minutes is available to each team.
Scoring:
- Win: 5 points
- Goal: 2 points
Tournament Format:
- Round-Robin Stage
- Knockout Stage
Teams will first compete in groups during the Round-Robin stage. The top two teams from each group qualify for the Knockout stage.
In Knockout matches, the winner advances to the next round and the losing team is eliminated.
Penalties:
- Robot exceeding the permitted dimension by 1 cm: -3 points
- Voltage exceeding the permitted limit by 1V: -5 points
- Weight exceeding the permitted limit by 15g: -1 point
- Ball deliberately propelled out of the arena: -1 point
Prize Pool:
Total Prize Pool: ₹35,000
Prize money will be awarded to the winners through NEFT and processed within 25 working days after the sponsorship funds are received.
The prize pool may vary depending on the number of participants.

Important Note:
- The organisers reserve the right to modify the rules or guidelines when required. Any changes will be communicated to participants.
- Decisions made by the judging panel will be final and binding.
- Cliffesto '26 reserves the right to disqualify teams for non-compliance with the rules or misconduct.
