Overview
Imagine. Design. Create.
Solid Siege is the SolidWorks CAD competition of Addovedi 2026 (NIT Arunachal Pradesh), organised by the Mechanical Engineering Student's Society (MESS). Across three progressively harder rounds you turn engineering drawings into accurate, clean SolidWorks models against the clock. Held on campus, 28-30 October 2026.
Guidelines
- Eligibility: college students, valid student ID required.
- Participation: individual (solo). One registration per person; only the first counts.
- Inter-college / inter-specialization: allowed. Open to all branches.
- Problem statements: 3, one per round.
- Rounds: 3. 2D sketch, 3D part, assembly.
- Duration: a fixed time limit announced before each round.
- Scoring: 10 points (2 + 3 + 5). Recorded time breaks ties.
- Registration: sign up on the Addovedi website, register for Solid Siege to get your Team ID, then register on Unstop with the Team ID + the leader's Addovedi ID.
- Registration fee: FREE.
- Prize pool: Rs. 10,00,000+. Position-wise split announced later.
Rules
- Only those who qualify a round in time move to the next.
- Exact dimensions and features are given at the start of each round. Model exactly as specified.
- No submissions after the time limit unless the coordinator announces otherwise.
- Submit files in the format and location announced.
- No external help, pre-made models or files. Violations lead to disqualification.
- Report on schedule. Don't interfere with others' systems or files.
- Official recorded times are final for timing decisions.
- Judges' decisions are final.
