Event Overview:

VisionQuest is a beginner-friendly yet competitive online quiz series designed exclusively for first-year students.

With three progressively challenging rounds, the quiz takes participants from understanding the technology around them to testing their logical thinking and finally applying AI concepts to real-world situations.

You do not need prior programming or Artificial Intelligence experience to participate. VisionQuest is designed to test more than technical knowledge — it challenges your curiosity, awareness, reasoning, problem-solving ability, and understanding of the world around you.

Whether you're already fascinated by technology or are just beginning your journey, VisionQuest gives you a chance to explore, compete, and think beyond the obvious.

Event Structure & Timelines

Round 1 – Tech Unlocked

The first round introduces participants to the fascinating world of Artificial Intelligence, technology, and the digital systems they encounter every day.

The questions will focus on fundamental concepts and interesting technological applications without requiring prior technical expertise.

Format: 10 MCQs

Topics Covered:

• Basic Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
• Generative AI
• Computer Vision
• Recommendation Systems
• Everyday applications of AI
• Basic technology concepts
• Interesting AI & technology trivia

Duration: 10 minutes

Marking Scheme: +4 for correct, 0 for incorrect

Round 2 – ThinkQuest

The second round shifts the focus from what you know to how you think.

Participants will face questions involving logical reasoning, patterns, mathematics, data interpretation, and computational thinking.

No advanced programming knowledge is required. Careful observation, logical reasoning, and problem-solving will be the key to this round.

Format: 10 MCQs

• Number and letter patterns
• Sequences
• Basic probability
• Mathematics
• Data interpretation
• Puzzles
• Computational thinking

Duration: 10 minutes

Marking Scheme: +4 for correct, 0 for incorrect

Round 3 – VisionQuest (Finale)

The final round brings together technology, AI, mathematics, and reasoning.

Participants will be presented with real-world situations and challenging questions that require them to connect concepts and determine how AI and technology can be applied to solve problems.

This round will test not just knowledge, but the ability to analyze, connect, and apply.

Format: 15 MCQs

Topics Covered:

• Real-world applications of AI & ML
• Recommendation Systems
• Generative AI
• Computer Vision
• AI in Healthcare & Finance
• AI ethics and bias
• Basic statistics and probability
• Data interpretation
• AI models and concepts
• Scenario-based problem solving

Duration: 20 minutes

Marking Scheme: +4 for correct, 0 for incorrect

Rules & Regulations:

• Each participant must register before the registration deadline.
• Participation is strictly individual.
• A participant can attempt each round only once.
• Participants must attempt the quiz using their registered Unstop account.
• The use of unfair means, external assistance, or any form of malpractice will result in disqualification.
• Participants must follow all instructions provided for each round.
• Only participants qualifying according to the announced criteria will advance to subsequent rounds.
• In case of a tie, the participant with the better completion time / tie-breaker score will be ranked higher.
• The organizing team reserves the right to modify the schedule, rules, or format if necessary.
• The decision of the organizing committee regarding the final rankings will be considered final.
