Business Ideation & Startup Evaluation Workshop – "From Idea to Impact: Building Startups That Are Ready to Scale"
The workshop provides an interactive platform for students, aspiring entrepreneurs and early-stage startups to present their business ideas and receive practical evaluation and feedback from angel investors and industry experts.
Eligibility:
- Open to students, aspiring entrepreneurs and early-stage startup founders.
- Participants may register individually or as a team.
- Inter-college participation is allowed.
- Participants from different specialisations may form a team.
- Startups at the ideation, validation, early-stage or scaling stage are eligible.
Format:
- Participants will present their startup idea/business to the investor panel.
- Each participant/team will explain the problem, solution, target market, business model and current stage.
- Investors will conduct a Q&A and critically evaluate the venture.
- Feedback will be provided on business model, market potential, scalability, financial viability, risks and investment readiness.
- The focus is on constructive evaluation and business improvement, rather than simply selecting the "best idea."
- Suggested Time Structure:
Startup Presentation: 5 minutes
Investor Q&A & Evaluation: 5 minutes
Feedback & Recommendations: 3 minutes
Rules:
- Participants must provide accurate and authentic information about their venture.
- Presentations must be within the allotted time.
- Participants must be prepared to answer questions from the investor panel.
- The evaluation will be based on business viability, problem-solution fit, market potential, scalability, financial feasibility and investment readiness.
- Plagiarism or misrepresentation of another business idea will not be permitted.
