Opportunity brief
Overview
Get ready for a 24-hour hardware-based robotics challenge where you build, program, calibrate, and race your own autonomous Line Follower robot from scratch.
Teams of 4 members will work with the hardware kit provided by the organizers and take on three challenging stages:
- Round 1 – Technical Quiz: Test your knowledge of embedded systems, electronics, sensors, programming, control systems, and robotics.
- Round 2 – Hardware Setup: Assemble, wire, solder, program, and calibrate your robot using the provided components.
- Round 3 – Line Follower Race: Put your robot to the ultimate test on an unannounced race track, where speed, precision, adaptability, and PID tuning matter.
Why Participate?
- No prior knowledge required – a dedicated pre-event webinar will cover the fundamentals.
- Complete build kit provided to every team.
- Keep the hardware kit after completing the hackathon.
- Gain hands-on experience in Arduino, sensors, motor control, C programming, PID control, electronics, and mechanical assembly.
- Compete for a ₹22,000 total cash prize pool.
- Experience a complete 24-hour engineering sprint from assembly to final race.
- 18–19 September 2026
- 4 Members per Team
- KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore
- Prize Pool: ₹22,000
