Quiz Competition

Eligibility

• The quiz is open to college students from recognized colleges/universities.
• Students from any branch/specialization are eligible to participate.
• Participants must provide accurate details during registration.
• Each participant can register only once.
• There is no restriction based on academic year unless specifically mentioned by the organizers.

Team Formation

• Participants can participate individually or as a team of 2 members.
• Inter-college teams are allowed.
• Inter-specialization/Inter-department teams are allowed.
• Team members must individually satisfy the eligibility criteria.
• A participant cannot be part of more than one team.

Quiz Format

The competition will be conducted in online mode.

Round 1 – Preliminary Round

• Number of Questions: 30
• Duration: 20 minutes
• Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
• Each question will have 4 options.
• Participants must submit their answers before the timer ends.
• The highest-scoring participants/teams will qualify for the next round.

Round 2 – Final Round

• Number of Questions: 20
• Duration: 15 minutes
• Question Type: MCQs and/or aptitude-based questions
• Questions may include higher-difficulty problem statements.
• The final ranking will be based on the total score.

Question Pattern

The quiz may cover topics such as:

• General Knowledge
• Current Affairs
• Technology
• Science
• Computer Science
• Business & Startups
• Logical Reasoning
• Innovation
• Current technological trends

The organizers may modify the topics depending on the theme of the quiz.

Scoring

• Each correct answer will receive 1 mark unless otherwise specified.
• Incorrect answers will carry no negative marking.
• Unanswered questions will receive 0 marks.
• In case of a tie, a tie-breaker question/round may be conducted.
• The participant/team with the highest final score will be ranked first.

Competition Process

• Register for the quiz through the official registration form.
• Receive confirmation and competition instructions.
• Join the quiz using the provided link/platform.
• Complete the preliminary round within the specified duration.
• Qualified participants/teams will be announced.
• Finalists will participate in the final round.
• Winners will be determined based on the final scores.
• Certificates will be provided to eligible participants as specified by the organizers.

Rules

• Participants must enter their correct name, college, email ID, and other required details during registration.
• Participants must follow the instructions provided by the organizers.
• Participants must complete each round within the given time limit.
• Once an answer is submitted, it may not be possible to change it.
• Use of unfair means, external assistance, or communication with other participants during the quiz is prohibited.
• Participants must not share quiz questions or answers with others during an ongoing round.
• Any attempt to manipulate the quiz platform or competition results may result in immediate disqualification.
• The organizers reserve the right to disqualify participants who violate the competition rules.
• The decision of the organizers regarding qualification, rankings, and winners will be final and binding.

Inter-College & Inter-Specialization Participation

• Inter-college participation: Allowed
• Inter-specialization/Inter-department participation: Allowed
• Students from different colleges and different academic branches can form a team, subject to the team-size limit.

Tie-Breaker

If two or more participants/teams have the same score:

• A tie-breaker question or additional round may be conducted.
• The participant/team answering the tie-breaker correctly or achieving the higher tie-breaker score will receive the higher rank.
• The organizers' decision in the event of a tie will be final.

Organizer's Rights

The organizers reserve the right to:

• Modify the schedule or format if necessary.
• Change the number of questions or duration in exceptional circumstances.
• Disqualify participants for rule violations.
• Cancel or postpone the competition due to unforeseen circumstances.
• Make the final decision regarding results, rankings, eligibility, and disputes.
