Opportunity brief
About the event:
The CAD Design Contest challenges participants to blend rigorous civil engineering drafting skills with out-of-the-box architectural creativity. This event tests the speed, precision, and spatial visualization abilities of the students. To elevate the challenge, this inaugural edition introduces a "Cyber-Arcade Aesthetic Constraint," forcing participants to break away from traditional modern or brutalist designs and integrate futuristic, high-tech visual elements into functional civil infrastructure.
Rules & Regulations:
- Software: Participants must use AutoCAD or the standard provided software. No premade blocks or templates are allowed.
- Prompt: The problem statement (e.g., designing a public transit hub) will be revealed on the spot.
Deliverables:
A complete 2D floor plan, elevation, and section within a strict 3-hour window.
