Jeya Industries and Engineerings Private Limited is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Intern to join our Design & Engineering team. Responsibilities:
- Create detailed 2D engineering drawings and 3D models of mechanical components and assemblies.
- Develop and modify designs using AutoCAD, Creo, and SolidWorks.
- Prepare engineering and manufacturing drawings with appropriate dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
- Read and interpret mechanical and engineering drawings.
- Assist engineers in design development, prototyping, and product improvement activities.
- Review designs for accuracy, functionality, and manufacturability.
- Make design modifications based on engineering requirements and feedback.
- Maintain and update CAD models, drawings, and design documentation.
- Work with the engineering and production teams to understand and resolve design-related issues.
- Follow engineering standards, company design practices, and documentation procedures.
Requirements:
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant Mechanical / Design Engineering qualification.
- Students currently pursuing a relevant engineering degree are also encouraged to apply.
- Basic understanding of mechanical design principles.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Basic/working knowledge of Creo.
- Basic/working knowledge of SolidWorks.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Basic knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Understanding of sheet metal, fabrication, machining, or mechanical assemblies.
- Ability to create accurate and well-detailed engineering drawings.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong interest in mechanical design and product development.
