What happens when the world's emerging economies come together to reshape the global financial order?
Step into the world of international diplomacy, economics and strategic decision-making with BRICS 2026: The De-Dollarization Summit, a pan-India mock BRICS competition designed to test your understanding of global affairs while putting your negotiation, public speaking, strategy and teamwork skills to the ultimate test.
Participants from across India will come together and be divided into teams representing different BRICS member countries. Each participant/ team will be assigned a country and will be expected to research its economic interests, geopolitical priorities and international position over the given agenda.
The teams will then enter a simulated BRICS summit where they will negotiate, collaborate, debate and defend their country's interests around one central idea: Can BRICS reshape the global financial system through de-dollarization?
Teams will be required to negotiate and work towards a common agenda or action plan that addresses the central issue. The summit will conclude with the teams attempting to reach consensus and pass a final resolution with the required majority of participating countries.
This isn't just a debate. It is a simulation of international diplomacy where every decision, alliance and negotiation can influence the final outcome.
We will also conduct one networking track so that all participants can connect with each other and make new friends and connections.
What Will You Do?
- Represent a BRICS member country and understand your country's economic and geopolitical interests
- Develop a position on de-dollarization and negotiate with other countries
- Build strategic alliances/Defend your country's interests
- Participate in diplomatic discussions and negotiations and Present your final strategy and proposed framework
- Respond to challenges and developments introduced during the simulation

Who Can Participate?
The competition is open to students and young professionals from across India.
Competition Format
Round 1 - Country Allocation & Research
Participants will be grouped into teams and assigned different BRICS countries. Teams will research their country's economic interests, foreign policy priorities and position on de-dollarization.
Round 2 - The BRICS Summit
The teams will participate in the mock BRICS summit, engaging in negotiations, diplomatic discussions, strategic alliances and formal presentations.
Teams will present and defend their proposed framework for the future of the global financial system, followed by evaluation from the judging panel.
The Final Question
If the global financial system is changing, what role will BRICS play in shaping what comes next?
