Infosys Limited is hiring for the role of Mainframe Consultant / Developer!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Actively support the consulting and application development team across project phases, including problem definition, effort estimation, root-cause diagnosis, and solution deployment. - Conduct technical research, literature surveys, and public domain evaluations to build Proof of Concepts (POCs) for client business needs. - Translate business requirements into technical specification documents, defining to-be process workflows and detailed functional designs. - Support the configuration and implementation of solution requirements, diagnosing system issues and identifying technical alternatives. - Assess existing business processes, identify operational bottlenecks, and propose technology-driven process improvements. - Refine, analyze, and structure relevant enterprise data to support project deliverables and client engagement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), B.Tech, B.Sc, BCA, M.Tech, M.Sc, or MCA. - Experience: 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in Mainframe technologies and application development/maintenance. - Technical Expertise: Core proficiency across Mainframe technologies (COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM). - Strong logical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, and data structuring capabilities. - Awareness of current technology trends, industry domains, and software development methodologies. - Excellent collaboration, written, and verbal communication skills.
