Overview:
Crack the Crude is a two-round competition designed to test knowledge around the oil and gas industry, quick thinking, visual recognition, technical understanding, creativity and teamwork.
The competition consists of:
Round 1 – The Floor:
A fast-paced image identification challenge.
The Floor is a head-to-head image identification challenge where participants identify industry-related images while managing their individual timers.
Participation Type: Solo (individual participation only)
Round 2 – Build the Reservoir:
A hands-on challenge involving reservoir construction and fluid-flow demonstration.
A hands-on challenge where teams construct a simplified subsurface model and demonstrate fundamental reservoir and petroleum-system concepts through fluid movement.
