Opportunity brief
NITRO GP is an adrenaline-fuelled, nitro-powered RC car racing championship hosted at Shaastra, bringing together hobbyists, students, and professional racers from across India to enjoy the thrills of navigating challenging turns, ramps, and rugged terrain in a test of speed, precision, and control. The competition celebrates creativity, engineering expertise, technical craftsmanship and sharp reflexes, pushing both the machines and their drivers to their limits.
Competition details:
- VIDEO SUBMISSION: Each team must submit a clear video showcasing their car's composition, functionality, and performance on a test track. The video should highlight that it is a 1:8 Nitro fuel-based RC car which is functional.It must be submitted before the deadline for evaluation and shortlisting.
- QUALIFIERS: All teams have to go through a 3-lap time trial round. Each driver's fastest time in this qualifying round will be considered. The Top 16 proceed to the next round and are slotted according to their positions in this round.
- ROUND ROBIN: The teams are split into 4 groups and race among themselves in the group. The top 2 of each group directly proceed to the next stage, whereas the third-place team of each group goes into a revival round.
- REVIVAL: The 3rd-place teams race each other where the first-place team also advances to the semifinals.
- QUARTER-FINALS: 9 teams are seeded and race out of which 6 teams head to the semifinals.
- SEMI - FINALS: 2 high-stakes races of 3 cars each; the top 2 of each race proceed to the finals.
- FINALS: Teams that qualify from the semi-finals will advance to the final race. The final race will be of longer duration.Pit stops are available. Grid positions for the final will be based on the number of laps completed in the semi-final (in the given time).

- Open only to Nitro fuel-based 1:8 RC buggies; further specifications regarding the cars are mentioned in the PS.
