Knowledge is the one currency that never depreciates, and nowhere is that truer than in the boundless expanse of space science. From the mechanics of orbiting bodies to the mysteries still hidden in deep space, the universe rewards those curious enough to keep asking questions. The National Students' Space Challenge 2026 brings you Space Quiz, a fast-paced test of everything you know (and don't yet know) about astrophysics, physical cosmology, planetary science, and space exploration.

Whether you're a die-hard space enthusiast or someone who simply can't resist a good challenge, this is where your knowledge gets put to the test and where the real thrill isn't just winning, but discovering how much more there is to learn. If the cosmos has ever made you pause and wonder, Space Quiz 15 is where that curiosity finally gets to compete.

This event features two distinct categories: one for school students and another for college students.

Rules and Regulations:

• This is an individual/team-based event open to school and college students.
• Each team can have a maximum of 3 participants. The team members can be from different institutions. All members of a team should be at either the school or college level.
• ONLY the team leader should register on behalf of the whole team.
• Each registered team is permitted only one attempt per round, which must be made from a single device. Multiple attempts from the same or different devices will result in disqualification from that round.
• The preliminary round will comprise 3 online MCQ-based quizzes. The teams may participate in one or more of these. If a team wishes to participate in more than one preliminary quiz, the best score among them will be chosen.
• The preliminary round will be the same for both categories (the school category and the college category).
• The qualifiers of the preliminary round will proceed to the pre-final round, which will be conducted during the fest, in online mode for the School category and at IIT Kharagpur for the College category.
• The 8 best teams will qualify for the final round, where they will battle it out for the ultimate prize.
• The pre-final and final rounds will be separate for the two categories (school and college).
• Descriptions of sub-rounds at pre-final and final levels will be provided only during the event.
• The top 3 teams from each category will receive cash prizes and goodies.
• In case of any dispute, the decision of Team NSSC will be final and binding.

Generating Team ID and Participant IDs on nssc.in:

• Register separately as participants .Each participant will get a participant ID in the format 26-xxxxxx (26 followed by 6 digits). Please note that this does NOT constitute the team ID.
• Go to Space Quiz  and register as a team (if you haven't already). Once your team's registration is confirmed, your team will be assigned a team ID in the format T-xxxxxxx (T followed by 7 digits). This will be the ID associated with your team for the rest of the event, and this is the ID you need to enter under "Team ID" during registration on Unstop.

Please note that entering your team ID on Unstop is mandatory to be considered for the next stage of the selection process. Otherwise, you won't be eligible to qualify for the next rounds, irrespective of your performance in this round.
