Ops-Essentia: Operations Case Study Challenge

Overview

OPTUS, the Operations and Supply Chain Club of IIM Raipur bring you to OPS - Essentia to acknowledge your perception and derive its implications in the field of operations.

Ops-Essentia deals with doing things in the right way at the right time. It empowers you to envision and focus on the big picture in the environment of turmoil and access your managerial instincts and perception about the imminent situation.

Rules:

• Each team should have a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 participants.
• There is no limit on the number of teams that can participate from a single institute; however, no student from an institute can be part of more than one team from the same institute.
• Modification of the team composition or team details after the first round of submissions is not allowed.
• All team members must be from the same institute.
• Any deviation from the above will result in immediate disqualification of the entire team.
• All decisions regarding eligibility and final judgment shall rest with the OPTUS team.
• The format and rules of events are subject to change before the start of the event.
• Only the team leader, the person who registered the team, will be able to play the online quiz.

Details of the Rounds: Ops-Essentia is a two-round challenge

Round 1 - Online Quiz:

• This round will test the knowledge of the general concepts of operations and supply chain management.
• Teams must complete the game within the stipulated time of 15 minutes.
• The online quiz will be live on 09.10.2026, between 09:30 PM - 10:30 PM IST
• Only the team leader can attempt the quiz.
• Teams will be shortlisted for round 2 based on their scores in this round.
• Results will be declared on 10.10.2026 at 10:00 AM IST.
• Selected teams will be informed via email.

Round 2 - Online Case Study:

• The case study will be live for selected candidates on 10th October'26 from 10:00 AM IST.
• Submission Window: 10th October'26 from 10:00 AM to 17th October'26 from 11:59 PM IST.
• Only the team leader will be able to make the submissions.
• You'll need to submit a PowerPoint Presentation (PPT) of not more than 5 slides (excluding cover & annexures) with your analysis.
• The naming convention should be TeamName_CollegeName (e.g., Kaizen_Xaviers).
• In the case of file submissions, please ensure that the file size is less than 20 MB.
• Please make all your submissions well before the submission deadline to avoid any last-minute hassles.
