Every startup begins with an idea. But an idea becomes a venture only when it can solve a real problem, create meaningful value, and stand up to scrutiny.
Innoventure 2026 at IIM Bangalore provides aspiring entrepreneurs with a platform to put their startup ideas to the test—from a compelling 2-minute video pitch to a focused business proposition and, for the finalists, a live presentation before a panel of Venture Capitalists and industry experts.
This is your opportunity to:

Eligibility & Team Composition :
- Open to students enrolled in recognized undergraduate, postgraduate, or executive management programs.
- Team composition: Individual participation only — there are no teams; each pitch is presented and owned by a single participant. You may bring additional person during a 1-1 presentation for assistance during the demo.
- One pitch per participant. One participant cannot register or present more than one pitch/idea.
- The participant presenting must be the owner of the idea being pitched.
- Competition Stages & Presentation Guidelines
Registration:
- Registration: Participant must complete the registration process before the notified deadline.
Round 1 – Tell your story
- Pitch your idea in a 2 min video . Video could consist of animation, product mockup demo or video pitch by participant or a combination of all
- Total Video duration must NOT exceed 2mins. Content beyond 2mins will NOT be considered for evaluation.
Round 2 – Build the proposition
- Participant qualified from round 1 will be required to submit a presentation which covers 3 dimensions about the startup idea
- Slide 1: Problem & Opportunity
- Slide 2: Solution & Execution
- Slide 3: Venture Potential
Round 3 – Defend your venture
- Finalists qualified after round 2 will present their idea in person at IIM Bangalore to a panel of VCs and industry experts in 3mins , followed by a focused 2min Q&A.
- No online presentation will be allowed
Prizes :
Top 2 pitches will get a total prize money worth 15000/- and Certificates.
- Conduct, Integrity & Professional Standards
- Reporting time: Participant must report at least 45 minutes before their assigned slot. Late entry or slot exchanges will NOT be allowed.
- All analysis and recommendations must be the participant`s original work. External data, frameworks, visuals, and other sources must be appropriately acknowledged.
- Use of AI tools: Generative AI may be used only with clear disclosure of how and where it supported the submission. Individual participant remains responsible for accuracy, originality, and confidentiality.
- Participants must not exchange pitch material, analysis, or solutions with other participants. Collaboration across competing participants may result in disqualification.
- The organizing committee may disqualify an individual at any stage for plagiarism, misrepresentation, breach of confidentiality, misconduct, or violation of these rules.
- Event changes: The organizers may revise the schedule, venue, format, or rules where necessary. Participants will be informed in writing as early as possible.
- Innoventure organizing team does not make any representation or guarantee regarding funding, investment, or any other commercial engagement between participants and the Venture Capitalists, investors, or industry experts participating in Innoventure.
Any discussion, interaction, or potential funding proposition arising between a participant and a Venture Capitalist or investor is entirely independent and at the sole discretion of the respective parties. Innoventure organizing team will not be a party to, facilitate, negotiate, or assume any responsibility or liability for any such engagement, transaction, or outcome
