ICON proudly presents RUBICON 8.0, the annual consulting conclave of IIM Bangalore. This version brings to you a conclave packed with international case competitions, business quizzes, and mind-twisting guestimates. The smartest minds across the finest campuses are welcome to fight for the prestigious title of being the Best Business Strategist in the country.
As Rubicon gets bigger this year with prizes up to ₹100K to be won, we're venturing into how pervasive consulting is by exploring consulting for business and society in the various events lined up.
Format for Crown Jewel - the international case study competition
Round 1: Business Quiz:
- This 20-minute online quiz will test the teams on their knowledge of business strategy as a discipline and how the firms react to changes in the industry and business environment.
- Date: 11th Sep 2026
- Time: 09:00 PM - 09:20 PM
Round 2: Case Submission Round:
- The top teams from the Business Quiz would qualify for the finals and would have to analyze a contemporary business case involving an Indian firm and submit a PowerPoint Deck with their findings and recommendations. Maximum of 3 slides (excluding cover page) + Appendix are allowed in this round's submission.
- Date: 12 Sep - 16 Sep 2025
Round 3: Final Presentation:
- Top teams from the Case Analysis round would qualify for the finals and would have to present their final solution of the case study to the esteemed judges and students from across India. Additional details are to be communicated shortly.
- Date: 18th Sep 2025

Rules of the competition:
- Registration is allowed in teams of 3-4 members, all across the globe.
- Registration is open for all undergraduate and postgraduate students from all domains.
- A person can be associated with a single team.
- Multiple registrations by a particular team or person shall lead to disqualification.
- In case of any discrepancy, the decision of the organizing team shall be binding.
- Note: Cross-college participation is allowed. Additionally, students from different academic years are welcome to form a team and participate together.
