Overview
Welcome to the HiPo Citizen Coach Nation Builders: Policy Ideation Challenge! This is an open invitation for students and young change-makers to actively contribute to India's nation-building. Participants will explore real-world policy challenges using Citizen Coach: an interactive web application designed to facilitate simulated conversations with AI personas of bureaucrats and politicians.
Your objective is to bridge perspectives, navigate administrative roadblocks, and arrive at practical policy solutions. The top 2 entries will receive prizes, while all participants will receive a certificate of participation for being part of this initiative
Eligibility & Team Guidelines:
- Target Audience: Open to all students and young individuals passionate about public policy and governance.
- Team Composition:
- Team Size: 1-3 team members
- Inter-college team members: Allowed.
- Inter-specialization team members: Allowed (bring diverse skill sets like tech, public policy, economics, and design together!)
- Submission Limit: Participants can explore multiple policy topics and conduct as many conversations as they like on the web app, but final submissions must feature your best standalone policy document.
Competition Format & Problem Statement:
- The Task:
- Head over to the Citizen Coach web app
- Engage in a simulated policy discussion with any of the stakeholder personas (either on existing topics or generate your own topic). You can have upto 3 discussions, and share with us which one you would want to have considered as the entry for evaluation
- At the end of the discussion, the webapp will generate a policy document basis your recommendations
- Problem Statements: Open-ended. You can tackle any pressing socio-economic or governance issue plaguing India today
Timeline:
- Start Date: October 2, 2026
- End Date: October 31, 2026
Rules & Evaluation Criteria:
- Authenticity Check: All chat conversations and submissions will be run through specialized AI-review analyzers to ensure genuine discussions. Plagiarized or fully AI-generated chat logs will lead to disqualification
- Evaluation Parameters: Entries will be judged based on three core pillars:
- The Issue: How pressing and impactful is the problem being addressed?
- Quality of Discussion: How effectively did you navigate trade-offs, counter-arguments, and stakeholder perspectives during your app session?
- Quality of the report: What has been recommended by the report? How impactful and practical is the solution being proposed?
Prizes & Rewards:
