Opportunity brief
General Guidelines:
- Open to MBA students only.
- Teams can consist of 1 to 4 members.
- Cross Functional/Course teams are allowed (team members can be from any specialization).
- Cross year teams are allowed (team members can be from any year of their MBA/PGDM course).
- Inter-college teams are not allowed (all team members must be from the same institute).
Competition Structure:
Round 1 – Solution Submission (Case Analysis):
- The team will analyze the detailed case study uploaded on the platform.
- The task is to answer the questions provided at the end of the case study document.
- Responses must be structured into a presentation of 4-5 slide presentation (excluding the introduction and appendix).
- The presentation can be submitted in PPTX or PDF format. Links to online presentations will not be accepted)
- Top 10 teams will be shortlisted for Round 2.
- Nomenclature for submission: "Team Name"_"College Name"_GIM_Samiksha
Round 2 – Presentation Round (Final Round):
- The top 10 teams from Round 1 will advance to the Final Round.
- Each shortlisted team will present its Round 1 solution to the judge in a live online session.
- Presentations will be evaluated on accuracy, communication, and clarity of thought, originality and innovative thinking, use of data-driven insights, ethical sensitivity, and presentation skills.
- A Q&A round will follow each presentation, during which the judge will challenge the team's ideas and explore the reasoning behind the proposed solution.
- The winning team will be announced after the final evaluation.
Rules and Regulations:
Round 1 – Solution Submission
- Case study goes live: 19th September 2026
- Deadline for presentation submission: 22nd September 2026, 23:59 PM
- The presentation must consist of 4–5 slides, covering the team's approach to the questions in a concise and structured manner. The introduction and appendix are excluded from the slide count.
- Format: PPTX or PDF only.
- Nomenclature for submission: "Team Name"_"College Name"_GIM_Samiksha
Evaluation Criteria:
- Communication and clarity of thought
- Originality and innovative thinking
- Use of data-driven insights from the case
- Ethical sensitivity in proposed solutions
Round 2 - Presentation Round (Final Round)
- Final round will take place on 26th September 2026
- Shortlisted teams will be informed via email with further instructions.
- Each team will present their Round 1 solution to the judge in an online live session via a MS Teams Meeting (link will be shared with all finalists).
- Presentations should focus on clearly communicating and defending the Round 1 solution, with teams expected to elaborate on their reasoning during the presentation and Q&A.
- Note: Participants will be presenting the same PPTX/PDF submitted in Round 1. No revised submission will be accepted for the Final Round.
General Rules:
- Ensure timely submission; late entries will not be accepted.
- Participants are expected to maintain a respectful and professional approach throughout the event.
- Participants must comply with all instructions communicated by the organisers during the competition.
