Participation & Eligibility

Participation Type: Individual registration (teams are formed interdisciplinarily during Stage 1)
Team Size: Individual (1 member per registration)
Registration Fee: ₹1,000 per participant
Fee Inclusions: Basic prototyping hardware (microcontrollers and sensors), meals, and accommodation for outstation participants

Offline Prototyping & Fabrication: September 25, 2026 (GHRCE Nagpur)
Jury Pitching & Results: September 26, 2026
Stage 2 (Shortlisted Winners): November 2026 (1 week online + 1 day offline at IIT Bombay)

Round 1: Problem Definition & Team Formation (Online – September 23, 2026)
Official clinical problem statements will be released via video briefing.
Participants form interdisciplinary teams, with at least one clinician per team, define core clinical unmet needs, brainstorm novel solutions, and sketch initial concepts.
Round 2: Prototyping, Testing & Pitching (Offline – September 25–26, 2026 at GHRCE Nagpur)
Hands-on fabrication and bench testing using provided microcontrollers and sensors.
Teams finalise their working prototypes, prepare slide decks, and present directly to a panel of medical and engineering experts.
Round 3: Advanced Acceleration – MEDIC (Hybrid – November 2026)
Top-performing teams advance to BETIC IIT Bombay for a 1-week online mentorship followed by a 1-day offline showcase at IIT Bombay.

1st Prize: ₹7,500 + Certificate of Merit + Direct entry to MEDIC at BETIC IIT Bombay
2nd Prize: ₹5,000 + Certificate of Merit
All Participants: Certificate of Participation, hands-on hardware kit, food for all participants, and lodging for outstation attendees
