Opportunity brief
Think you can decode a circuit, make the right engineering decisions, and bring it to life?
OHM MY GOD!, organized by IEEExWIE CRCE under CRESCENDO 2026, is a team-based technical electronics challenge designed to test participants' circuit understanding, datasheet interpretation, component selection, problem-solving, and hands-on circuit-building skills.
The competition consists of three consecutive phases:
DECODE – Analyze and complete an incomplete circuit using the provided datasheets. DECIDE – Select suitable components for a given application within a virtual budget. BUILD – Use the selected components to build, test, and demonstrate a working circuit.
Guidelines
- Inter-College Teams: All 3 participants must belong to the same academic year.
- Each team must have exactly 3 participants.
- Registration fee is ₹150 per team.
- The competition is scored out of 100 marks across all three phases.
- All required components, datasheets, and basic testing resources will be provided by the organizers.
Rules
- All participants must follow the official queue/order assigned by the organizers.
- Work beyond the applicable maximum cap shall not be permitted.
- The exact completion time for every phase shall be officially recorded.
- Teams shall attempt all tasks independently.
- Mobile phones, internet access, AI tools, and unauthorized reference material are
prohibited during active competition.
- Only datasheets/reference material officially provided by the organizers may be used.
- Participants shall not communicate answers, circuit connections, or solutions to other
teams.
- Personal electronic components and pre-built circuits/modules are prohibited.
- Only components and equipment authorized by the organizers may be used.
- Judges shall not provide technical assistance, hints, or component-selection confirmation.
- Phase 2 component selection shall be entirely the responsibility of the participating team.
- Selected components shall be carried forward to Phase 3.
- Once a team requests an official circuit check in Phase 1 or Phase 3, it will be counted as
an attempt. - The number of checking attempts shall be determined by the announced participation condition.
- Participants must follow laboratory and electrical safety instructions.
- Judges' decisions regarding circuit correctness and output shall be final.
- The judges' decision regarding scoring, circuit output, and results will be final.
