Opportunity brief
Fr.CRCE Shark Tank is a student entrepreneurship competition that gives aspiring founders a platform to present their business ideas and experience what it takes to face real-world investor questions.
Participants will take their ideas beyond just a concept and present their problem statement, solution, target market, business model, competition, revenue potential, scalability, and financial projections. The competition is designed to test not only the idea, but also how well a team understands the business behind it.
The competition begins with a screening round based on the pitch decks submitted by participating teams. The shortlisted teams move forward to the National-Level Grand Finale, where they will face the Sharks in one integrated round combining pitching, valuation, investment, Q&A, and negotiation.
The Final Round features a mock investment simulation, putting teams in the shoes of real founders. Teams will set their startup valuation, decide how much investment they need, and determine the equity they are willing to offer before defending their numbers and negotiating with the Sharks. Sharks may accept the proposal, make a counter-offer, reject it, or restructure the deal.
The competition is an opportunity to put your business knowledge, communication, financial thinking, decision-making, and negotiation skills to the test with a total prize pool of ₹60,000 waiting for the teams that stand out.

Guidelines:
- Eligibility: Open to all undergraduate college students
- Team Size: Minimum 2, Maximum 4 members
- Venue: Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues College of Engineering, Bandstand, Bandra (W), Mumbai
- Dates and Duration: 30th October (Final Round) | 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Registration Fee: ₹149 per team
- Registration Deadline: 18th October

Rules:
- Teams must report at the start of the event
- Maximum 4 members per team
- Valid ID Cards and confirmation receipts mandatory
- Plagiarism of ideas leads to disqualification
- Misbehavior results in disqualification
- Sharks' decisions are final and binding
- Real investments/mentorships are separate from the simulated equity game
- Dress Code: Strictly formal or product-themed attire
- Presentation must be technically compatible with event equipment
- Product prototypes are recommended
