EXL is hiring for the role of Programmer Analyst!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

  • Assisted in the design, development, and maintenance of full‑stack web applications using ASP.NET, C#, MVC, Web APIs, JavaScript, jQuery, React, and SQL Server.
  • Developed responsive and user‑friendly UI components following UI/UX and accessibility guidelines using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
  • Implemented backend business logic, RESTful APIs, and data access layers using .NET, C#, Entity Framework, and SQL.
  • Created and optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and database schemas to support application functionality and performance.
  • Supported cloud‑based application deployment and maintenance on Microsoft Azure, including exposure to App Services, Data Factory, Synapse, and Databricks.
  • Participated in on‑premise to Azure cloud migration activities under guidance, ensuring application stability and security.
  • Followed secure coding practices, including basic implementation of authentication and authorization concepts such as OAuth, SSO, and role‑based access.
  • Contributed to functional testing, unit testing, and UI testing, and assisted in identifying and fixing defects and performance issues.
  • Used Git for source code management, including branching, pull requests, code reviews, and version control best practices.
  • Actively participated in Agile/SCRUM ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborated closely with business analysts, senior developers, architects, and on‑site stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Supported data integration and reporting tasks, ensuring data accuracy, governance, and compliance.
  • Assisted in preparing technical documentation, design notes, and knowledge‑transfer materials.
  • Worked on proof‑of‑concept (POC) initiatives to explore new or emerging technologies and frameworks.
  • Demonstrated strong problem‑solving, analytical thinking, and quick learning ability to understand product functionality end‑to‑end.
  • Actively engaged in knowledge sharing, cross‑training, and mentoring activities within the team.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related discipline, with a strong foundation in programming concepts, data structures, and problem-solving.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft technologies, exposure to Azure cloud services, and familiarity with Agile methodologies are preferred.
  • Good communication skills, analytical thinking, willingness to learn new technologies, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams are essential.
