Opportunity brief
Roles:
- Provide dedicated business and operational support to international clients.
- Exclusively support Boulder Construction, a U.S.-based construction company specializing primarily in hotel and residential construction projects.
- Work directly with a U.S.-based construction team and gain hands-on experience with BIM modeling, Revit, construction drawings, quantity takeoffs, estimating, and project coordination for U.S. construction projects.
Responsibility:
- Develop, update, and maintain BIM models using Autodesk Revit based on construction drawings and project requirements.
- Review architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings to understand project requirements.
- Create and modify architectural BIM models, including walls, floors, ceilings, doors, windows, rooms, and other building components.
- Model and coordinate MEP systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and related services.
- Model interior and exterior finishes and construction elements based on project drawings and specifications.
- Assist in identifying conflicts and coordination issues between architectural, structural, and MEP systems.
- Review drawings and BIM models for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Assist in preparing plans, views, schedules, details, and other BIM-related documentation.
- Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and BIM models for materials, finishes, and construction activities.
- Assist the estimating team in preparing preliminary and detailed construction estimates.
- Extract quantities and organize information required for subcontractor and supplier pricing.
- Compare drawings, revisions, and model changes and identify differences that may impact quantities or cost.
- Assist with maintaining project documentation and BIM files in an organized manner.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Estimators, Superintendents, and other team members regarding drawings, quantities, and project requirements.
- Research construction materials, assemblies, and specifications when required.
- Assist with miscellaneous BIM, estimating, and construction-related assignments as directed by management.
- Learn and follow U.S. construction standards, terminology, drawings, and project workflows.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of Autodesk Revit is preferred.
- Basic understanding of architectural and/or MEP drawings.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of construction materials, building components, and construction methods.
- Interest in BIM modeling, construction estimating, and U.S. construction.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good MS Excel and computer skills.
- Ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to learn new software and construction processes quickly.
- Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with a team.
- Strong willingness to learn and take responsibility for assigned work.
- General Shift: 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM IST.
- Female Employees Shift: 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Work From Office) followed by 11:30 PM – 2:00 AM (Work From Home).
