Responsibilities of the Intern:

Contribute to Infrastructure-as-Code used to provision and manage cloud resources across multiple environments.
Write automation scripts and tooling that support cloud operations, including access provisioning, cost optimization, and resource lifecycle management.
Help maintain configuration-management tooling and containerized/orchestrated workloads.
Support day-to-day cloud operations, including access requests, monitoring and alerting hygiene, and routine maintenance across cloud accounts.
Learn observability practices, including structured logging, metrics, and alerting, and help improve signal-to-noise in production monitoring.
Participate in cost-optimization and security/compliance initiatives, including resource tagging, rightsizing, and access reviews.
Ship infrastructure changes safely through CI/CD pipelines, with code review and automated checks.
Collaborate with engineering teams across the company who depend on CloudOps for infrastructure support.
Participate in sprint ceremonies, code reviews, and technical discussions to build engineering judgment.

Requirements:

Solid foundation in at least one general-purpose programming language (Python, Go, etc.) and basic scripting.
Understanding of fundamental data structures, algorithms, and networking concepts.
Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
Eagerness to learn cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure-as-Code practices from the ground up.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, feedback-driven mindset.
Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools (such as Claude) and able to leverage them to speed up development.
