About the Role
You will work closely with the legal team on real legal matters, research, documentation, contracts, and compliance. From reviewing agreements to supporting legal strategy, you will gain hands-on exposure to how legal decisions are made in a fast-moving organization.
What You'll Do
- Conduct legal research on laws, regulations, case law, and compliance requirements
- Draft and review contracts, agreements, legal notices, policies, and other legal documents
- Assist with contract negotiations and maintain organized legal documentation
- Support the team with compliance, regulatory, corporate, and commercial legal matters
- Prepare legal summaries, case briefs, research notes, and internal reports
- Coordinate with internal teams to identify potential legal risks and ensure documentation is accurate
- Track regulatory updates and highlight changes that may impact the business
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing an LLB, BA LLB, BBA LLB, or equivalent law degree
- Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills
- Good understanding of contract law, corporate law, and general commercial legal principles
- Ability to read and interpret statutes, agreements, and legal documents
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information responsibly
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple legal tasks
Nice to Have
- Previous legal internship experience at a law firm, startup, or corporate legal team
- Familiarity with startup, technology, intellectual property, data privacy, or employment law
- Experience with legal research databases and contract-management tools
- Interest in technology, AI, fintech, or emerging regulatory areas
