Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend applications and services.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs.
- Work with databases and perform CRUD operations.
- Implement authentication and authorization.
- Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs.
- Debug and fix backend issues.
- Write clean, maintainable and reusable code.
- Work with Git and GitHub for version control.
- Test APIs and backend functionality.
- Collaborate with frontend developers and other team members.
- Contribute to real-world internal or client-oriented projects under appropriate supervision.
- Document APIs and technical implementations where required.
Requirements
Axivon Technologies is looking for motivated and enthusiastic students and freshers who want to gain practical experience in backend development and work on real-world software projects. This unpaid, remote internship is for 3 months, with 10 openings. Candidates should have 0-1 year of experience. Freshers and students are welcome.
Candidates should have knowledge of some or most of the following skills:
- Node.js
- Express.js
- JavaScript
- TypeScript
- REST APIs
- API integration
- MySQL
- MongoDB
- Firebase
- Authentication and authorization
- Git
- GitHub
- Basic understanding of server-side development
Knowledge of PHP, Python, PostgreSQL or other backend technologies will be considered an advantage. Students with strong fundamentals and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Eligibility: Students pursuing B.Tech, B.E., BCA, MCA, M.Tech, B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Science or IT, or other relevant Computer Science / Information Technology programs. Freshers and students with academic, personal or open-source projects are welcome to apply. We are looking for candidates who have a basic understanding of backend development, can understand and work with APIs, have basic database knowledge, can write logical and structured code, have a GitHub profile or relevant projects (if available), are willing to learn new technologies, can communicate and collaborate effectively with a development team, and are interested in solving real-world technical problems.
What the Intern Will Gain: Practical backend development experience, exposure to real-world software development workflows, experience working with APIs and databases, Git/GitHub development workflow, team collaboration experience, code review and technical feedback where applicable, opportunity to contribute to practical projects, and an Internship Certificate upon successful completion. Performance-based Letter of Recommendation, where applicable.
Selection Process: Application → Resume/Profile Screening → Technical Assessment (if required) → Interview → Final Selection. Candidates may be evaluated based on their technical skills, projects, GitHub/portfolio, problem-solving ability, communication and overall suitability for the internship.
