Overview:
A multi-round cybersecurity challenge designed to take participants through different aspects of cybersecurity, investigation, digital forensics, physical forensics, web security, and offensive security.
Participants will progress through multiple levels, investigate a simulated cyber incident, analyse evidence, uncover clues, and tackle practical cybersecurity challenges in a controlled event environment.
The event combines technical investigation, digital evidence analysis, physical investigation, problem-solving, and web security challenges into one immersive cybersecurity experience.
Objective:
The objective of Cyber Odyssey is to challenge participants to:
- Analyse cybersecurity incidents and digital evidence.
- Investigate suspicious activity and identify relevant clues.
- Connect digital, physical, and visual evidence.
- Reconstruct a simulated cyber attack.
- Identify the attacker from the available evidence.
- Investigate web applications and identify intended security vulnerabilities.
- Apply practical cybersecurity and problem-solving skills.

Team Formation:
- Each team can consist of 1–3 participants.
- Team members can belong to different colleges.
- Team members can belong to different branches/specializations.
- Participants can form teams with eligible B.Tech students from any college.
- Individual participants are also allowed to participate as a team of one.
Registration Process:
- Register for Cyber Odyssey 2026 through the official registration platform.
- Form a team of 1–3 members.
- Team members may be from the same or different colleges.
- Ensure that all team members are eligible B.Tech students from 1st to 4th year.
- Complete the required participant details.
- Pay the entry fee of ₹100 per participant.
- Complete the registration process and retain the registration/payment confirmation.
- Registered teams will receive further event instructions from the organisers.
Participant Goodies:
Goodies will be provided to all participants.
Rules & Guidelines:
- Each team must consist of 1–3 members.
- All participants must be B.Tech students from 1st to 4th year.
- Team members may belong to different colleges and specialisations.
- Participants must report to the venue before 8:00 AM.
- The event will be conducted in offline mode, with designated web-based challenge infrastructure where applicable.
- Participants must follow the instructions provided by the organisers for each level.
- Level 1 challenges must be solved using the evidence and clues provided by the organisers.
- Brute forcing is not permitted where the challenge instructions specify deterministic clues.
- For web-security challenges, participants may interact only with the authorised event infrastructure and simulated systems provided for Cyber Odyssey.
- Participants must not attack, scan, disrupt, or attempt unauthorised access to external systems or infrastructure.
- Participants must not interfere with other teams, event systems, or organisers.
- Participants are expected to maintain fair play and follow the instructions provided during the event.
- Organisers reserve the right to take appropriate action in case of rule violations.
Important Notes:
- Participants must report to the venue before 8:00 AM for registration and verification.
- The event starts at 8:30 AM and concludes at 2:30 PM.
- The competition consists of 5 hours of challenge time and a 1-hour lunch break.
- The event contains both digital and physical investigation components.
- Participants should be prepared to analyse evidence and solve practical cybersecurity challenges.
- The detailed challenge instructions will be provided at the respective levels.
- Specific challenge answers, flags, evidence, and solution details will not be disclosed before the event.
- Participants are responsible for ensuring that their team details are correctly entered during registration.
- All cybersecurity exploitation activities must remain strictly within the authorised event environment.
