Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop concepts and designs for jigs & fixtures used in machining components.
- Design machine tools such as arbors, face plates, cams, gears, grinding wheel mounting flanges, etc.
- Perform reverse engineering for fixtures and machine-tool designs.
- Evaluate machine feasibility for machining components.
- Maintain and update ECN/ICR tracking sheets.
- Collect supporting documents required for ECN/ICR closure.
- Design Poka-Yoke solutions against customer and internal complaints.
- Develop CNC programs for NPD and production jobs.
- Coordinate with suppliers for outsourced fixture manufacturing.
- Operate and utilize 3D printing equipment for development activities.
Ideal Candidate:
A Mechanical Design Engineer with strong hands-on experience in forging, machining, fixture design, machine-tool design, CNC programming and reverse engineering, along with good knowledge of 2D/3D CAD software.
