About the Hackathon:

VCET Hackathon is a 30-hour hackathon organized by the Department of Information Technology at Vidyavardhini's College of Engineering and Technology. The event aims to foster a strong programming culture and develop critical problem-solving skills among students by providing an opportunity to solve real-world challenges through innovation and collaboration.

Participants will work intensively over 30 hours to build impactful solutions while showcasing their technical skills, creativity, and teamwork.

Eligibility:

  • Open to all undergraduate students.
  • Team size: 3–4 members.

Guidelines & Rules:

  • A team must consist of 3–4 members.
  • The registration fee is ₹500 per team member.
  • Registration fees are payable only if the team is shortlisted.
  • Shortlisted participants will be provided with three meals, breakfast, snacks, and separate rest areas for boys and girls.
  • Participants will not be permitted to leave the college premises until the conclusion of the event.
  • Participants may use open-source repositories, public APIs, and publicly available libraries.
  • Project progress will be evaluated throughout the hackathon.
  • The use of pre-built, readymade, or precompiled code is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification.
  • Participants are expected to maintain professional and responsible conduct throughout the event.
  • The decisions of the organizers and judges will be final and binding.
  • Teams must submit abstracts as specified in the submission process.
  • All event updates will be shared through the official social media handles and via email.

Selection Process:

  • After completing the registration form, participants must upload a single PDF containing abstracts for any 2 out of the 5 provided problem statements during the registration stage.
  • Make 2 separate PPT's for the abstracts and combine them in one singular PDF.
  • All relevant documents, including the problem statements and detailed guidelines, are attached for reference.
