Opportunity brief
The intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Designing the external form of the chai machine, including enclosure panels, front face, cup area, lighting, and branding. Collaborating with the engineering team to ensure the design accommodates internal mechanisms and is easy to service and maintain.
- Designing products for manufacturing in coordination with local sheet-metal and fabrication vendors, including material selection, finishes, and colours.
- Designing an intuitive touchscreen ordering interface that allows users to place orders in just a few taps.
- Creating product renders and visuals for marketing materials, presentations, pitches, and the company website.
- Developing and maintaining a simple brand and style guide covering colours, graphics, and typography used on the machine.
- Iterating on designs based on feedback and insights gathered through user testing at real-world locations
