- Eyes of Ender is an immersive overnight team competition by AIChE that takes participants through a series of themed challenges inspired by the iconic Minecraft progression system.
- From mining hidden ingredients and crafting reaction pathways to strategic trading, decoding enchanted recipes, and brewing potions, every round brings a new challenge.
Event Structure:
Round 1: The Mining Expedition:
- Solve chemistry-based questions to excavate a multilayered ore block and uncover the first brewing ingredient.
- Earn XP and emeralds with every successful challenge.
Round 2: Crafting Table:
- Decode clues to identify the second ingredient and arrange chemical reactions and intermediates in the correct sequence to obtain it.
Round 3: Villager Trading:
- Explore the event area, collect resources, and strategically trade them to acquire the rare ingredient required for your assigned potion.
Round 4: Enchantment Table:
- Decode a cipher and identify a hidden indicator to reveal a brewing recipe concealed using invisible ink.
Round 5: Brewing Stand:
- Use the ingredients collected throughout your journey to brew your assigned potion.
Final Round: The End:
- After completing the brewing challenges, teams enter The End.
- Identify the correct reaction to destroy the End Crystals, weaken the Ender Dragon, and take on the final battle.
- The team with the highest accumulated XP claims the Dragon Egg and the title of champion.
