All that you need to know about the 24-Hour Hardware Hackathon
Theme: Experience Innovation
- The 24-Hour Hardware Hackathon returns with the theme "Experience Innovation" a call to participants to move beyond ideas on paper and construct real, working solutions to real-world problems within a single, time-bound sprint.
Domains:
- Intelligent & Autonomous Systems
- Energy & Sustainable Technologies
- AI & Healthcare Technologies
- Smart Infrastructure & Digital Ecosystems
- Resilience & Emerging Technologies
- Open Innovation
Guidelines:
- Team Size: Teams must consist of 2 to 4 members.
- Inter-college Team Members: Allowed (encouraged to promote collaborative innovation).
- Cross-Domain Team Members: Allowed (encouraged for multidisciplinary approaches).
- Idea Submission: Participants are expected to submit innovative hardware solutions addressing challenges within the provided domains.
- Selection: Teams will be shortlisted based on their idea submission in ppt.
Event Format:
- Round 1: Online Idea Submission on Unstop.
- Round 2: 24-Hour continuous on-campus hardware hackathon for the shortlisted teams (convergence pass is mandatory for every shortlisted team member)
Process & Timeline:
Round 1 (Idea Submission):
- Teams must submit their innovative idea detailing the problem statement, proposed solution, technical approach, feasibility, and expected impact.
- Deadline: September 13th, 11:59 PM.
- Shortlisted teams Announcement: September 15th.
Round 2 (On-Campus Finale):
- The shortlisted teams will build and demonstrate their working hardware prototypes on campus.
- Convergence Pass is mandatory for all the team members.
- Date: 18th - 19th September
Participation Guidelines:
- All participating teams must bring their own laptops and all necessary hardware components required for their prototype.
- The project must be developed during the hackathon period. Use of pre-built prototypes is prohibited.
- Teams must be present for all designated mentorship and evaluation rounds to remain eligible for the event.
- Ethical use of AI tools and publicly available resources is permitted.
- Participants must adhere to the venue's code of conduct and maintain professional behavior throughout the 24-hour event.
