Pitch//Break is a two-day competition where teams build a solution, earn and spend points, adapt to challenges, and face off against rival teams. Every decision matters: earn points through your performance, use Power Cards strategically, and avoid faults that cost you points. The team with the highest score at the end wins.
Event timeline
Before the event · Round 1: Initial Solution Build Submit your team's initial solution online before the event. This gives the judges a starting point for your team's journey in the arena.
Day 1 · 21 October
- Round 2: Power Card Auction — Bid with your existing points to acquire Power Cards. Choose carefully: the right card could change your game.
- Round 3: Challenge — Adapt your solution to a new challenge. Show the judges how well your team can think on its feet.
Day 2 · 22 October
- Round 4: New Solution Pitch — Present your solution to the judges and earn points for your pitch.
- Round 5: Sponsor Challenge — Take on a sponsor-led mini quiz or challenge to earn more points.
- Final Round: Team vs Team — Surviving teams are paired to challenge each other's solutions and pitches. Use any Power Cards you have. Judges decide the winner of each face-off; faults or failures in your solution cost points.
The team with the most points wins.
