Captain's Code – Blind Typing Challenge

Overview:

Captain's Code – Blind Typing Challenge is an exciting typing competition conducted as part of Zettaabyte 5.0. The event is designed to test participants' typing speed, accuracy, listening skills, concentration and ability to type without relying on visual assistance through three challenging rounds.

Competition Rounds:

Round 1 – The Speed Trial:

Participants will be given a passage to type within 1 minute. This round will test typing speed and accuracy.

Round 2 – Echoes of the Code:

Participants will listen carefully to a two-line sentence and type exactly what they hear. This round will test listening ability, concentration and typing accuracy.

Round 3 – The Reverse Keystroke:

Participants will be given a passage in a reverse format. They must correctly interpret and type the given content. This round will test focus, accuracy and the ability to handle challenging text.

Judging Criteria:

Participants will be evaluated based on:

• Typing speed
• Typing accuracy
• Completion time
• Correctness of the typed content
• Overall performance across all three rounds

The final ranking will be based on the participant's overall score and performance.

Rules:

• Captain's Code is a solo event. Participants will compete individually.
• Each participant can register and participate only once.
• Participants must follow all instructions given by the event coordinators.
• Any form of cheating or unfair assistance will result in disqualification.
• Participants must complete each round within the specified time.
• Participants must use only the systems and resources provided by the organizers.
• Any attempt to manipulate the competition or scoring system may lead to immediate disqualification.
• The organizers' and judges' decision will be final.

Eligibility and Requirements:

• The competition is open to college students.
• No previous competitive typing experience is required.
• Beginners are welcome.
• Participants should have basic computer and typing knowledge.
• Participants must report to the venue before the event begins.
• Participants should carry their college ID card if required.
