About the Company
Test 2 build private limited operates in the construction and road infrastructure sector, delivering project-focused quality and laboratory support. The organization is seeking a hands-on testing professional to strengthen material quality assurance at project sites and in the laboratory.
Responsibilities
- Conduct testing of bitumen, asphalt, bituminous materials, aggregates, and bituminous mixes in accordance with applicable IS, ASTM, and MORTH standards.
- Perform penetration, softening point, ductility, flash and fire point, viscosity, specific gravity, extraction, Marshall stability and flow, and related material tests.
- Collect, prepare, label, and track samples from construction and project sites.
- Prepare accurate test reports, laboratory records, quality documents, and supporting data using MS Excel.
- Verify results against project specifications, identify deviations, and communicate quality concerns to Site Engineers, QA/QC Engineers, and project teams.
- Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated, maintained, and used safely.
- Support quality inspections, audits, laboratory housekeeping, and implementation of project quality procedures.
Requirements
- Diploma, B.E., or B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- 1–3 years of experience in a civil material testing laboratory, road construction project, or related quality-control environment.
- Strong practical knowledge of bitumen and asphalt testing equipment and procedures.
- Working knowledge of IS Codes, MORTH, ASTM standards, material testing, MS Excel, and test report preparation.
- Good communication, documentation, coordination, and safety practices.
- Candidates who can join immediately or have a short notice period may be preferred.
This is a full-time, in-office opportunity based in Chennai/project-site environments, with a monthly salary range of ₹20,000 to ₹30,000 depending on experience and suitability.
